CE: Jen, can you give us a brief backstory of how BeeFree came to be?

Jen: BeeFree started out of need. My eldest of four boys was diagnosed with Autism and we soon found a Gluten Free diet to be very helpful, but expensive and mostly not very tasty.  So I went to work in the kitchen with my mom trying to make family favorites into gluten free, and still tasty treats! I eventually came up with Warrior Mix and quickly realized that many others could benefit from delicious, GF treats the same way that our family did, so we started a company so we could share!

CE: What is your favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur?

 Jen: I like to chart my own path. A huge pro is making my own schedule, having the freedom to make that fit better with my personal lifestyle and family time choices.

CE: How do you maintain balance between your work, family, and time for yourself?

Jen: That’s a tough one, always working to get it right. I try to stick with a routine of getting up early for time for myself (workout, quiet time, journaling) and then the rest of the day goes smoother with work and family time.  Most of my four boys are in college, so when they have a planned visit, I always get more work done the few days before and plan on more home time to soak it in while I can!

CE: What is your favorite way to enjoy your product?

Jen: I like spicy chocolate warrior mix with a layer of almond butter and big chunks of crystalized ginger 

CE: What is your favorite Love + Chew flavor?

Jen: Chocolate Chia topped with nut butter!
