3 At-Home Spa Ideas You Need To Try

If you can't go to the spa, why not bring the spa to you?  With more time on our hands (and arguably more stress), self-care is now important than ever.  Follow our tips below for an at-home spa experience - I know they say you can’t have all 3 (good/fast/cheap) but all of these suggestions do actually fit the bill.

Turn on your favorite music, maybe open a bottle of wine, and allow your self to indulge in some "you" time, you'll be thanking yourself afterwards. You don't even need to call the babysitter. Share this with friends and family in your life who could use a spa day, too! Ladies, you can even try convincing your man into a spa themed date night. 1. Hang Eucalyptus in your Shower- This one is easy.  On your next TJ’s run, pick up 1 bunch of eucalyptus for $3.99 from the flower section.  When you get home, rinse off the eucalyptus and if you prefer a stronger smell, you can use a rolling pin to flatten them out.  Then, using a hair tie (or the rubber band it comes with!) hang on your shower head but make sure the eucalyptus is behind your shower head, so water is not dripping on the actual eucalyptus.  The leaves and the combo of steam in your shower will help relieve stress & help with respiratory issues. You're going to love how this can change your showers from ordinary to luxurious in just a few minutes.

2. At-Home Oatmeal Avocado Mask- Combine 1/2 of  a ripe avocado with 1/2 cup of cooked oatmeal. Then mix the two together until it becomes a paste.  Apply it to your skin and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Afterwards, rinse off the mask with water and gently pat down your face with a towel.  This mask will help improve dry or tired skin. Going into the dryer summer months, this moisturizing face mask will be the perfect solution.

3. Baby Foot Foot Peel- We were skeptical when we first heard about the Baby Foot Foot Peel. After applying the foot mask, you wait 3-7 days and then the dead skin on your foot begins to peel off.  As disgusting as it sounds, you have amazingly soft feet afterwards. Since we’re all stuck at home and summer is around the corner, it seems like it’s a great time to do a foot peel! This is also a great gift to include in a care package for a loved one or friend.
